ARCS for GIS Version 1.8 Now Released
We are pleased to announce the release of ARCS for GIS version
1.8. The new version will automatically be sent out to our customers
on our ARCS for GIS Technical Support and Maintenance Contract.
Alternatively it is available to buy from today........
As customer requirements change over time Intelliscan Ltd ensure
that these changes are catered for by partaking in an active program
of customer feedback, investigation and research. This guarantees
that ARCS for GIS continually evolves with our customers requirements
to provide them with a first rate product.
The latest host of changes from version 1.7 to version 1.8 include:
- The addition of a Lite Viewer program.
- Compatibility with GeoMedia 5, GeoMedia Hot Fix Version 05.01.13.44.
- Improved compatibility with MapInfo 7.5 and ArcGIS 8.2.
- Internal restructure to improve overall efficiency and performance.
- Ability to create a list of installed charts in a printable
format.
- Improved technical support via reports that can be generated
if an error occurs. These are also emailable to enable Intelliscan
to more easily interpret the problems and to respond more quickly
with a solution.
- Improved chart details dialog which displays important additional
chart projection information.
The addition of our Lite Viewer program provides an intermediary
viewer. This will enable a quick and easy method of browsing charts
without having to load up the full GIS package to simply view a
chart.
ARCS for GIS version 1.8 is now fully functional with newer versions
of the most popular GIS systems such as GeoMedia, MapInfo and ArcGIS.
A more comprehensive provision for technical support and error
reporting has been developed in the form of a Help Dialogue Box.
It provides more detailed information about the components of the
program from which a list can be produced into a .xml file format.
Users can then email this to Intelliscan's technical support team.
This will speed up fault reporting and allow Intelliscan Ltd to
quickly rectify any problems.
