The Problem

The requirement for a reliable source of information on the world's waters for a variety of maritime issues under various government jurisdiction.

The Solution

The Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (UK) and the Government departments of other European nations use ARCS for GIS and ARCS charts to monitor fishing zones and dumping at sea. The British, Dutch and Namibian Governments use the software to assist them in the tracking of fishing fleets. ARCS for GIS is also used by The Irish Sea Fisheries Board for plotting the locations of licenced fish farms.
