The Problem

A requirement to display a large variety of geographically referenced environmental data, in a clear manner for presenting.

The Solution

Haskoning UK Limited's Marine and Coastal Environment Advice Group found that ARCS for GIS in conjunction with the UK hydrographic Office's ARCS charts were the perfect solution.

They started using ARCS for GIS about 3 years ago and now use the software on the majority of their projects for displaying a wide variety of environmental data, such as biological community data, sampling locations and designated site boundaries. Senior Environmental Scientist , Matt Simpson comments "We have found the ARCS for GIS software to be very user friendly in that it is simple to overlay geographically referenced data directly onto the Admiralty Charts. It is also an advantage to be able to buy a small number of Admiralty Charts for different project locations as this only puts a small cost onto each project budget. The software allows us to display a large amount of information in a very clear manner and adds the quality of presentation of our reports significantly".
