ARCS for GIS is a unique software application that enables Admiralty Raster Charts (ARCS) to be used in a Geographic Information System (GIS). ARCS for GIS decrypts and loads the charts as a layer within the GIS, registering the chart in its correct geographic location. This enables other data sets or a Users own asset data, such as offshore cabling or wind turbine locations, to be viewed against a chart backdrop. The chart(s) therefore provide a valuable aid for planning, analysing, reporting on and managing offshore and coastal projects.
The ARCS for GIS software is compatible with the majority of popular desktop GIS systems including GeoMedia, MapInfo and ArcGIS.
