SwERVE is a cost effective tool for extracting spatial data from the GE Smallworld Geographic Information Systems (GIS) into a variety of standard data formats such as XML, .mid, .mif, .shp. Once extracted, the standard format allows a wider distribution of information throughout the organisation as it can be utilised in a wider range of desktop GIS products.
