Warp can be used to re-align both raster
and vector data with pinpoint accuracy. Quality control of
the result is done by a simple real time visual comparison
of the warped original maps overlaid on the PAI data.
Warp allows both mapbases along with the asset
data to be displayed simultaneously, instantly highlighting
what needs to be re-positioned.
With minimal effort, the old mapbase and assets
can be aligned with the new PAI mapbase.
The customer's GIS data after warping - the
asset data is aligned correctly with the PAI mapbase.
Intelliscan also offer a full bureau service
to carry out the re-alignment for you - please visit our Positional
Accuracy Services page for more details.
Warp was designed primarily for the Utility
sector as it:
-
does not rely on the use of the OS's Link Files; ideal given that many utility companies also use additional MapInformation, such as developer's plans for which there are no link files.
-
has proven links to Smallworld and Intergraph systems; two of the principal GIS systems currently used by the utility sector.
-
readily handles pipe and cable realignment
-
Warp has been already been used to realign a variety of Utility Company assets from one background to another. It is proven software.
