Intelliscan Ltd is a software development company specialising in the processing and maintenance of Geographic datasets and databases.

Intelliscan has an ongoing contract to provide Geographic Data Processing Services to a large telecommunications company and require a strongly motivated Graduate Software Engineer to assist with the provision of this service. The customer's project is a Data Capture Project and the service Intelliscan provide is to extract data from their corporate Geographical Information System (GIS) and package the data for delivery to a number of offshore (India) vendors who then convert the data into a form suitable for loading into another system. Data Processing is carried out using Intelliscan's own suite of software tools, the majority of which have been written using Microsoft Visual C++ and Microsoft VB .NET. As well as running these tools, the successful applicant will be expected to assist with the maintenance and ongoing development of the tools so a good understanding of object orientated programming would be an advantage as would an understanding of database technologies. Any training required to allow the successful applicant to carry out their role will be provided.

This is a full time position and the successful applicant will be based initially at the customer's premises in the centre of Aberdeen for the duration of the project – currently expected to run until June 2012 - and will be working as part of an Intelliscan team. At the end of the project they will be expected to take up a full software development role with Intelliscan at their offices.

The successful applicant must be able to work as part of a team, be able to deliver quality results whilst adhering to strict deadlines and be willing to learn and grow in the role.
